Michael serves as Chief Technology Officer for Higher Education at World Wide Technology (WWT). In this role, Michael engages with clients on strategy, innovation, and transformation to develop and deliver solutions that are tailor-made for higher education institutions.\n\nMichael has a distinguished 25-year career in bringing creative and innovative information technology solutions that leverage established and emerging technologies to meet the needs of diverse organizations, and he has helped develop and implement technology solutions across a variety of industries, including Higher Education, Banking, Insurance, Distribution, and Health Care.\n\nPrior to joining WWT in January 2022, Michael served as the Associate Vice President and Deputy CIO at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he helped establish a vision for technology services to accelerate the transformation of UCF IT. Before his tenure at UCF, he served as Assistant Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations at the University of South Florida (USF).\n\nDuring Michael's service within Higher Education, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Higher Education User Group (HEUG), the worldwide community enabling the sharing of knowledge and practices to maximize institution investment in Higher Education Information Systems. He also served as a Board Member for Florida LambdaRail (FLR), Florida's independent statewide research and education fiber optic network, owned and operated on behalf of twelve Florida research and education institutions that provide Florida’s higher education institutions and partners a cost-effective, ultra-high-speed, inter-connected, broadband service delivery network.\n\nMichael earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.\n\nMichael lives in Sandusky, Ohio, with his wife and three daughters, and enjoys all that the area has to offer!
