At World Wide Technology, collaboration fuels innovation. Each month, the Associate Academy highlights a strategic partner that helps us grow technically and professionally. For the month of October, we spotlighted Fortinet—a global cybersecurity leader whose integrated, fabric-based approach aligns with WWT's commitment to building secure, scalable and efficient solutions for our customers.

Security has always been an area of genuine interest for me, and learning directly from Fortinet's experts deepened that passion even more. Understanding how their technologies bring security, networking and automation together was eye-opening and reinforced just how important cybersecurity is in today's evolving digital landscape.

 Why Fortinet?

Fortinet has long been recognized for its Security Fabric platform, which provides end-to-end protection across networks, endpoints, and clouds. Their integrated approach enables organizations to consolidate vendors, simplify operations and enhance their security posture.

For the Associate Academy, Fortinet represents more than just a cybersecurity vendor—it's a learning partner that helps associates understand the intersection between security, networking, and innovation.

During our Partner of the Month sessions, we explored:

The Partner of the Month program gives associates an insider's look at WWT's most strategic relationships. By engaging directly with Fortinet experts, we not only expand our technical understanding but also see how these solutions come to life for customers in real-world environments.

These sessions reinforce one of WWT's core values—growth through knowledge sharing. Learning directly from Fortinet's team allowed us to ask deeper questions, connect technical concepts to business outcomes, and visualize how cybersecurity drives digital transformation for our clients.

For someone early in their career at WWT, experiences like this are truly inspiring. Not only did I gain valuable insights from Fortinet, but the Associate Academy itself continues to equip me with the skills, exposure, and confidence I'll need when I'm out in the field. Being able to network with others across the organization and learn from teammates, leaders, and partners has been an eye-opening and encouraging journey. It's a path I'm genuinely excited to continue.

Meet the Author

Hello Everyone, my name is Christian Previlma. I joined WWT in early July 2025 as a Technical Associate. My professional background is a mix of both technical and teaching, working as a 3rd-8th grade math teacher and at Apple Retail as sales and technical support. 

Academically, I received my Associate's in Computer Science, my bachelor's is in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University, and I recently graduated with my Master's in Information Technology Security. I am very passionate about learning new things, creating new opportunities, and building strong relationships through WWT and our partners.

Outside of work, I love staying active, being outdoors, trying new challenges, and keeping up with football season and other sports. I'm excited to keep growing at WWT, meeting new people, and learning from everyone around me.
