Stuart Clark of Cisco DevNet has written an article on Protocol buffers, or Proto bufs and gRPC a communication protocol developed at Google. The article can be found here: https://blogs.cisco.com/developer/363-grpcsandbox-01 - If you are interested in seeing an implementation of proto bufs, checkout my GitHub repo off https://developer.cisco.com/codeexchange/github/repo/joelwking/ansible-tetration and review the source code in the library directory.
