WWT Partner Tiering

WWT's tiering model is designed to match our investment in you with yours in us. As the partnership grows, so does WWT's commitment — from deal support and playbooks at the Approved level, to co-funded resources, named executives, and joint go-to-market programs at Strategic.

Tiers are evaluated across three dimensions: Sales Relevance, Market Position, and Channel Program participation — ensuring partners are recognized for holistic contribution, not revenue alone.

Onboarding

We have two onboarding methods available:

 

1) Be working a deal with a WWT sales team and they can make the ask to have you onboarded as a new partner via:

         -Purchase Order Terms & Conditions (POTC): a non-modifiable resale agreement allowing WWT to sell your hardware/software and any related support/maintenance packages.  This is the quickest path to allowing us to do business together.

           OR

          -Reseller Agreement: an OEM-specific legal agreement outlining the conditions of our partnership.

 

2) Get sponsorship from a Solutions/Go-to-Market stakeholder i.e. someone from our Engineering (GS&A) or Partner Alliances (GPA) teams, and they can request onboarding.

Extension of the US resell agreement to other countries is deal-driven and country-specific. 

Business Development

To maximize the effectiveness of your partnership with WWT, focus on aligning your business goals with ours, maintain regular communication with your WWT contacts, participate actively in joint business planning sessions, and utilize our partner resources and training programs. 

The Partner Incentives Team is a centralized team within GPA that can assist the sales organization with deal registration & partner funding programs across our OEM ecosystem. They can be contacted at Partner_Incentives@wwt.com 

Additionally, ensure that your registration process is detailed in the partner playbook. Please contact your partner manager or the Global Partner Support (GPS) team. Email us at Global_Partner_Support@wwt.com for assistance.

To present to our Sales teams, collaborate with your field WWT sales representative. They can connect you with interested peers and regional managers. For effective presentations, ensure your message clearly highlights your alignment to WWT's go to market.  For more on our go-to-market visit our Solutions page on wwt.com 

The most effective channels are your Partner Playbook (ensure your deal registration process and value prop are clearly documented there), the JAM and JEM joint marketing programs, and direct introductions facilitated by your Partner Manager. The Partner Incentives team (Partner_Incentives@wwt.com) is also a centralized resource for educating WWT sellers on registration processes and funding programs across the OEM ecosystem.

Marketing Programs

The JAM and JEM Programs are invite-only programs tailored for our Strategic, Advantage, and Select partners.  For marketing outside of these programs please work with your WWT field counterparts to plan ad-hoc events.

Tier promotions are based on our published guidelines and at the discretion of our Sales & GPA team.

Partnership tiers are typically reviewed annually, but this can vary based on performance and market conditions.
