In this hands-on lab, you'll build Alex, an AI onboarding assistant that goes beyond generic chatbots to deliver personalized 30-day onboarding plans for new employees. Working across three VMs (Windows Jumpbox, Mattermost Server, and RHEL 10 Server), you'll walk through NVIDIA's full agent stack in a guided, approachable way—getting hands-on with NIM for Nemotron inference, the NeMo Agent Toolkit for orchestration, and OpenClaw as the agent framework, with clear explanations at every step. Along the way, you'll see firsthand how NemoClaw brings enterprise-grade security to the agent landscape through hardened containers, credential isolation, network policy enforcement, and real-time operator approvals via OpenShell. No deep AI or infrastructure expertise required—if you're curious about how trusted agents actually work, this lab meets you where you are and leaves you with a working agent and a practical understanding of the security controls that make it enterprise-ready.
