Solution overview
This sandbox environment features a pre-configured network topology designed to showcase the capabilities of the Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN solution running on Cisco IOS-XE SD-WAN 26.1.1 code. The lab includes a full control-plane and data-plane deployment consisting of SD-WAN Controllers (vManage, vBond, vSmart) and WAN Edge devices based on Cisco Catalyst 8000V, providing a realistic enterprise architecture for operational exploration. This environment is built to help engineers understand how centralized policy, application-aware routing, and secure connectivity operate within a modern SD-WAN fabric from an operational standpoint.
Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN 26.1.1 continues the platform's evolution with enhancements focused on visibility, automation, security, and cloud integration. The release expands application and tunnel-level telemetry, improves analytics and troubleshooting workflows, and strengthens API-driven automation capabilities.
