Cisco Catalyst (Viptela) SD-WAN Analytics Lab
Solution overview
The Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Analytics Lab is a capability of the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) designed to provide an environment to gain hands-on experience Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Analytics. The environment that supports the lab is completely virtual, removing any hardware dependencies associated with physical infrastructure.
SD-WAN Analytics is a cloud-based analytics service for Catalyst SD-WAN, that provides detailed insights into the performance and health of the SD-WAN network. The scope of Analytic's visibility focuses on the point-to-point metrics (loss, latency, jitter, throughput) of fabric tunnels along with DIA-enabled apps with Cloud onRamp. It offers visibility into application performance, network traffic patterns, and user experience across the SD-WAN fabric. Analytics works as an extension of SD-WAN Manager, expanding on its current view of the network and able to make visual representations of the raw data that Analytics collects and stores inside its repository.
This lab features 2 tools to assist in developing proficiency using SD-WAN Analytics; Ixia BreakingPoint to generate synthetic traffic and Traffic Jam to simulate impairments. Upon completion of this lab, users will have an understanding of the various dashboards and tools Analytics uses to provide a 360 view of the network.
