Cisco NGFW Intermediate Lab Version 10

The Cisco Secure Firewall 10.0 NGFW Intermediate Lab provides a hands-on environment for exploring many features of Cisco Secure Firewall 10.0. This intermediate lab, delivered through the Advanced Technology Center (ATC), is designed to help engineers expand their technical understanding of the Cisco Secure Firewall portfolio. The lab environment is fully virtualized, eliminating hardware dependencies associated with traditional physical infrastructure and enabling flexible, on-demand access for learning and experimentation.

The goal of the Cisco Secure Firewall 10.0 NGFW Intermediate Lab is to provide a hands-on learning environment that enables engineers to gain practical experience with the core capabilities of the Cisco Secure Firewall platform. Through guided exercises, participants will explore the architecture, configuration workflows, and operational features that support modern network security deployments.

Objectives

• Deploy and manage Cisco Secure Firewall devices using Firepower Management Center
• Configure and manage Access Control Policies
• Implement Network Address Translation (NAT) policies
• Utilize security intelligence and application visibility features
• Configure and analyze intrusion detection and prevention capabilities
• Implement identity-based access policies
• Monitor firewall activity using events, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Understand how policy inheritance and rule evaluation operate within the platform
• Validate configuration changes and troubleshoot common operational scenarios
