Splunk Observability Cloud unifies infrastructure monitoring and application performance management across distributed environments, continuously collecting metrics, traces, and logs to correlate service degradations with their underlying infrastructure causes and alerting automatically when performance thresholds are breached. It instruments microservices, Kubernetes workloads, and host fleets through OpenTelemetry collectors to provide real-time visibility into request flows, resource utilization, and system health under consistent observability policies, reducing mean time to detection through automated anomaly detection, increasing operational resilience through proactive alerting, and replacing fragmented monitoring tools with a centrally managed observability platform governed through pre-built dashboards and SignalFlow analytics.
