NetApp ONTAP S3 Object Storage Fundamentals

This NetApp ONTAP S3 Object Storage Fundamentals lab provides a guided hands-on experience through setting up and testing an Object Storage Server.  This is a virtualized environment, running on the NetApp ONTAP Simulator version 9.18.1, as well as a Windows Jump Box for managing and testing it.

This is a guided lab through setting up and testing the following with NetApp ONTAP through the System Manager web interface:

• Creating a S3 Object Storage SVM
• Creating an Object Storage Bucket
• Creating a User and assigning permissions to the bucket
• Testing the bucket with client software

• 2x NetApp Ontap Simulator 9.18.1
• Windows 11 Jumpbox/Client
• Windows 2022 Server with Active Directory and DNS (unused)
• Ubuntu Linux Server 24.04 (unused)
