Palo Alto NGFW Incorporating User-ID into Security Rules Lab

The Palo Alto NGFW Incorporating User-ID into Security Rules Lab is a capability of the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) designed to provide an environment to test you with mini challenges, and allow you to gain hands-on experience with the fundamental features of Palo Alto's NGFW solution. The environment that supports the lab is completely virtual, removing any hardware dependencies associated with physical infrastructure.

Goal

To provide lab participants with real-world scenarios in which they have to troubleshoot to fix issues, configure and commit changes, gaining pivotal hands-on experience that will transfer into the workplace. 

Objectives

By the end of this lab, participants will be able to: 

• Configure User-ID integration to identify users based on their local test accounts.
• Implement role-based access control through security policies tied to user groups.
• Demonstrate user-based policy enforcement using Palo Alto Networks NGFW features.
