Prerequisites

What you'll learn

  1. Write production-grade bash tools with functions, arrays, option parsing, traps, and shellcheck, and schedule them with cron or systemd timers.
  2. Diagnose network and performance problems methodically using the ip suite, dig, ss, tcpdump, journald, vmstat, iostat, and sysctl.
  3. Run and protect real services on Linux: author and tune systemd units, manage RAID, LVM snapshots, and LUKS encryption, and confine services with AppArmor and SELinux.
