WWT & Nile

Local area networking infrastructure is a labor-intensive exercise. Organizations traditionally needed to invest significant resources in IT specialists, time, and money to design, build, implement, operate, and maintain local area infrastructure.

Enter Nile's Network as a Service.

Network as a Service (NaaS) is a business and technology solution that empowers organizations to focus on their core competencies.

A true Network as a Service solution are:

  • Designed as a Network as a Service solution
  • Delivered entirely as a Service
  • Flexible Consumption with elasticity
  • Simplified Operations
  • Committed Service Levels
  • Inherently Secure

Network as a Service solution providers also handle the complexity of managing the network infrastructure.

Nile

Nile is a true Network as a Service for facilities. With a completely redesigned network and overall operations experience, Nile delivers a more secure wired and wireless service, allowing organizations to avoid the day-to-day hassle of owning and managing a local area network. To accomplish this, Nile took a ground-up approach to simplifying Local Area Networking by delivering a Next-Generation Local Area Network powered by AI.

This has revolutionized traditional wired and wireless networking by decoupling the physical infrastructure from its management and delivery and removing complexity.

Defined by an audacious vision to remove human dependence from network management, Nile's clean-sheet approach does to networking what the cloud did to computing and storage. By relentlessly focusing on disruptive simplicity, Nile, with WWT, can change how organizations design, acquire, deploy, secure, and maintain connectivity.

Allowing organizations to reduce maintenance and support costs, freeing up IT Staff

The Nile architecture.

The foundation is the Nile Service Block (NSB), a two-tier layer three infrastructure designed for high availability that provides wired and wireless access. It employs softbots and external sensors for monitoring, along with sensors in the APs (3rd Radio in the AP) with an SSID for testing with Authentication.

Also, there is no Spanning Tree, VLANS, Private VLANs, Stacking, HSRP, VRRP, MLAG (multi-chassis link aggregation), etc. Remember, "removing complexity".

Nile Services

Nile offers several cloud-based services in the form of DHCP, Radius, and Guest Services.

Nile Guest Service adds self-serve internet access for visitors and segments them from the network. Guest traffic is tunneled to the closest Nile point of presence (PoP) and from there directly to the internet. This eliminates the need to maintain separate infrastructure to provide internet access to guest users. Terms and conditions can be customized, and optionally, you can require sponsor approval via email before guests gain access.

Simplify Operations

Nile provides Day 0—Day N support, offloading network management and allowing IT resources to focus on strategic initiatives.

Nile brings flexibility, scale, and simplicity to campus networking while removing IT CapEx and management burdens, ensuring optimal network performance outcomes.

WWT can help you determine if Nile is right for your business. If you want to learn more about NaaS by Nile, our Network Team is here to help with any questions.
