The EC2 Advantage with WWT and AWS
World Wide Technology (WWT) offers a comprehensive suite of services to help customers leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) for their infrastructure and application needs. As an AWS Consulting Partner, WWT specializes in deploying and managing AWS EC2 instances. This partnership enables organizations to enhance their infrastructure with scalable, secure, and cost-efficient computing capacity.
Top Reasons to go to EC2
- Wide Range of Instance Types: EC2 offers a variety of instance types optimized for different use cases, including compute-optimized, memory-optimized, and storage-optimized instances.
- Elastic Block Store (EBS): EC2 provides persistent block storage for your instances, which can be scaled independently from the compute resources.
- Auto Scaling: Automatically adjust the number of EC2 instances during demand spikes to maintain performance and reduce costs.
- Elastic Load Balancing (ELB): Distribute incoming application traffic across multiple EC2 instances to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Dedicated Hosts: EC2 offers dedicated hosts, which provide physical servers dedicated for your use, helping you meet compliance requirements and reduce costs by using your existing server-bound software licenses.
- Spot Instances: Purchase unused EC2 capacity at a discounted rate, which can significantly reduce your cloud costs for fault-tolerant and flexible applications.
WWT's Extensive Services
WWT's services include seamless application migration, development, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring operational excellence through automated testing, patching, and provisioning. WWT employs industry best practices for security and compliance, utilizing tools like AWS Managed Active Directory and infrastructure-as-code solutions such as CloudFormation and Terraform to automate deployments. By combining AWS's robust cloud capabilities with WWT's expertise, customers can achieve optimized server performance and reliability across their cloud environments.

EC2 Funding
World Wide Technology (WWT) offers several funding options to assist customers with their cloud migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). The primary funding program is the Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), which is designed to support AWS Partners through each phase of the migration journey: Assess, Mobilize, Migrate & Modernize. MAP provides funding incentives to accelerate customer decisions, support migration opportunities, and grow AWS practices. Funding amounts are determined by the total AWS Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) that will land on AWS, with each phase having its own funding available.
AWS offers special funding for customers moving VMware workloads to AWS Cloud Native architectures, providing substantial offsets for these migrations. For more detailed information and to explore these funding options, customers are encouraged to contact WWT's AWS experts
