About Peter
Peter Black currently leads a highly specialized team of Security Architects specializing in Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Zscaler, Cisco, and IBM. He also has an elite network security practice and IoT/OT team within his purview. Peter has over 26 years of experience in global network security consulting in various enterprise environments and verticals. Peter has had the opportunity to specialize in Palo Alto Networks since 2010. He has developed a very well-rounded set of skills by serving in a variety of roles: Pre-Sales, Professional Services, MSSP experience, and an Instructor for Palo Alto Networks. Always pursuing excellence, Peter earned his Security CCIE in 2008. In March 2019, Peter completed the numerous requirements and passed the exam for Palo Alto Networks’ Certified Network Security Consultant (PCNSC) – their highest technical certification. This invitation-only program recognizes the most successful Palo Alto consultants in the world. In addition, he holds the Palo Alto's Cyberforce's highest designation of ‘Hero’ - capturing the Palo Alto Engineer of the Year for 2022. Peter offers the unique perspective of having worked in a variety of roles throughout his career – director, manager, consultant, engineer, trainer, facilitator, and adviser to many organizations and industries. This experience enables him to quickly assess personnel, organizational and operational needs. Peter takes great pride in being an instrument of positive change.
