Detecting and Responding to Device Health Score Degradation
Learners will build a network assurance workflow that connects live device health data from Cisco Catalyst Center with the NetBox source of truth. The playbook queries device health scores, evaluates them against a configurable threshold, identifies degraded devices, and writes the resulting health status back into NetBox for operational visibility.
This lab video demonstrates the first step toward proactive, event-driven network assurance. Learners will see how automation can close the loop between real-time network observability and the source of truth by detecting health degradation, updating NetBox device records, and verifying the results in the NetBox UI. The workflow starts as an on-demand or scheduled playbook and sets the foundation for future event-driven automation using webhooks, SNMP traps, and Ansible Event-Driven Automation.
