  1. Enhancing Cisco Security Solutions with Data Analytics (ECSS)
  • CE Credits Earned: 32
  • This course dives deep into how data analytics can strengthen Cisco security solutions, making it a powerful resource for professionals focused on network security.
  • This is an intermediate-level training offered through Cisco U, designed to empower security professionals with the skills needed to integrate Cisco security solutions with Splunk for enhanced threat detection and response. This comprehensive learning path covers essential topics such as Splunk fundamentals, Cisco XDR, SIEM, SOAR, and the integration of Cisco's security applications using the Cisco Security Cloud App and legacy technology add-ons. Participants will engage in 20 courses and 19 hands-on labs, gaining practical experience in aggregating data from various Cisco security products into a single Splunk instance, streamlining security workflows, and enhancing decision-making through customizable dashboards and comprehensive insights.

 

         2. Understanding Cisco Network Automation Essentials (DEVNAE)

  • CE Credits Earned: 16
  • A great primer on network automation, this course helps learners understand the essentials of automating Cisco networks.
  • This is an introductory program offered through Cisco U, aimed at IT professionals seeking to enhance their skills in network automation. This course provides a foundational understanding of network automation concepts, focusing on the use of APIs, Python programming, and automation tools to streamline network operations. Participants will learn how to automate routine network tasks, manage configurations, and integrate various network devices using industry-standard protocols and tools. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge to implement basic automation solutions, contributing to more efficient and scalable network management practices.

 

Upcoming Changes

On October 31st, the ECSS course will transition from free access to Cisco U's all-access tier. But Cisco U will introduce a new free course in its place, expected to offer 30–32 CE credits.
