Solution Overview
Workplace transformation initiatives require integration of disparate tools with new platforms, whether for chat, presence, voice, videoconferencing or mobile. Additionally, there must be sufficient bandwidth to handle an increase in remote meetings. Cisco Meeting Server allows users to easily join meetings from any soft or hard client. 

This experience lab was designed to showcase the ease of use for end users or technical users of the Cisco Meeting Server conference spaces. The lab guide will provide step by step instructions with an explanation of the feature being preformed. The time to completion for this lab is 3 hours.

Goals & Objectives

The lab provides an environment that can be used for end user experience of the Cisco Meeting Server solution.

You will explore the following topics:
  • Explore the interface and features of the CMS WebRTC interface. 
  • Use the CMS WebRTC interface to place and receive calls. 
  • Use CMS as a gateway for calls between Cisco and Microsoft video endpoints. 
  • Use CMS as a conference bridge between Microsoft and non-Microsoft video systems.

This lab will consists of the following components: 
  • Jabber for Windows 11.7 
  • Cisco IM and Presence 11.5(1) 
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) 11.5(1) 
  • Cisco Unity Connection 11.5(1) 
  • Microsoft Lync 2013 
  • Microsoft Exchange 2013 
  • Cisco Meeting Server 2.1(7)
