"NetApp provides storage and data management elements, including NetApp AFX and the NetApp AI Data Engine, while Cisco supplies networking and security components linked to its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA and Nexus One portfolio. The systems use pre-tested, validated designs intended to reduce integration work for IT teams."


The announcement also received backing from World Wide Technology, which indicated it will leverage its testing environment to validate the architectures in real-world customer scenarios. This signals that NetApp and Cisco are engaging implementation partners to help transition customers from proof-of-concept efforts to full-scale deployments.

Brian Bartell, Practice Manager of Compute and Storage at World Wide Technology, noted that integrating AI capabilities into FlexPod could accelerate the journey from initial concept to deployment.
