PEOPLE and Great Place to Work® Name World Wide Technology One of the 2022 PEOPLE® Companies that Care, Ranking #36
St. Louis, MO. (August 31, 2022) — Great Place to Work and PEOPLE magazine have honored World Wide Technology (WWT) as one of the 2022 PEOPLE® Companies that Care. This is WWT's second time being named to this prestigious list, this year coming in at 36th place. Earning a spot means that WWT is one of the best companies to work for in the country.
"WWT is honored to be included in this year's Companies that Care list for the second time. At WWT, part of our mission is to be a great place to work for all of our employees. That's why we are dedicated to investing in programs and initiatives that support our people, develop a diverse and inclusive environment, and foster a culture of innovation and creativity," said Ann Marr, Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources at WWT. "In turn, these investments provide our employees with the resources they need to continue making a positive impact on our customers and the communities we call home."
The Companies that Care list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they are a Great Place to Work-Certified™ organization.
Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they create a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.
"Caring isn't about being 'nice,'" says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work. "It's about understanding the real needs of your people, of your community and of the world—and showing up in ways that make a meaningful impact. These companies make that kind of caring for people, and even the environment, part of their daily fabric."
WWT continues to be dedicated to its status as a Great Place to Work in the U.S. and on an international level as the company was named to Fortune's list of 100 Best Companies to Work For and the UK's Best Workplaces in 2022. Most recently, the company was included on the 2022 UK's Best Workplaces for Women, ranking ninth in the medium-size category for the second consecutive year. In previous years, WWT has been named to additional lists including Best Places to Work in Technology, Best Workplaces for Diversity™, Best Workplaces for Millennials™, Best Workplaces for Parents™ and more.
