World Wide Technology and Awarepoint Partner to Deliver Location as a Service to Customers Globally

Awarepoint’s patented solution leverages BLE and Wi-Fi to provide fine grain positioning for mobile or tag based applications.

SAN DIEGO – August 31, 2016 – Awarepoint Corporation, an innovative and fast-growing company focused on the location services market, today announced that it has partnered with World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator, to deliver Awarepoint Location as a Service to customers globally.

“WWT is one of the largest and most respected systems integrators in the industry, and we are excited to be working closely with them to speed up adoption of Real-time Location Systems (RTLS) in healthcare and other industries,” said Karl Riesen, Vice President of Business Development with Awarepoint.

“WWT remains committed to investing in best of breed solutions across our technology domains. Our partnership with Awarepoint’s market leading RTLS and Wi-Fi managed Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) solution is no exception. Awarepoint’s technology and partner ecosystem is a perfect fit for WWT’s continued focus on delivering value-added customer outcomes in Mobility and Networking and we're excited to be working with them," said Brian Ortbals, Vice President of Advanced Technology with WWT.

WWT uses its Advanced Technology Center (ATC) to showcase the Awarepoint solution integrated with Cisco’s Wi-Fi architecture for comprehensive customer solutions. Customers are able to engage with the WWT experts one on one and see asset tracking, people locating, and temperature monitoring in action via the ATC.

The Awarepoint solution supports the traditional Real-time Location System (RTLS) use cases such as asset tracking, patient/staff locating, and temperature monitoring, as well as clinical mobility and wayfinding on the same platform. The solution locates staff through their mobile devices or wearable tag and integrates location data with clinical systems to improve workflows.

Awarepoint’s patented solution leverages BLE and Wi-Fi to provide fine grain positioning for mobile or tag based applications. The system is centrally managed and integrated with the Cisco Wi-Fi architecture, offering ease of deployment and maintenance.

Hosted in the Cloud and built on a scalable, extensible platform, the Awarepoint solution provides a friendly user interface and powerful APIs for third party integrations. Its cloud-hosted database can be used for business intelligence and data analytics to improve workflow efficiencies and cost saving ROI analysis.

Awarepoint combines its BLE/Wi-Fi platform and cloud-hosted software with fully managed services backed by professional services, including up-front impact analysis, outcomes-based implementation, and ongoing support to deliver best in class services.

Awarepoint joins WWT’s robust ecosystem of partners, vendors and service providers, which includes Apple, Cisco, Dell EMCVMware, among others.
