World Wide Technology Wins Contract to Modernize U.S. Army Network and Communications System
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 11, 2021—World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading $13.4 billion technology solutions provider, announced today it has won a comprehensive Enterprise Agreement (EA) to support the modernization of U.S. Army network and communications systems. Known as the Global Enterprise Modernization Software and Services (GEMSS) program, the agreement will support the Army's transition to modern and secure networking, communications, and remote work capabilities.
GEMSS adds software and support on top of a 2019 EA covering voice, video, and security. The combination of modernized hardware, training, and hands-on support provides a one-stop shop for modernizing Army networks.

"With GEMSS, the Army is taking a proactive approach to ensuring it employs the most up-to-date communications and security capabilities as it transitions to a more modern environment."
Under the Army GEMSS program, the department has access to Cisco security, collaboration, and networking software, as well as to Cisco training, and support, using an innovative contracting model that ensures predictable, affordable pricing. WWT will provide Cisco's Digital Network Architecture (DNA) software, a suite of Cisco security tools, and a combination of advanced support, services, and training. GEMSS expands the Army's access to Cisco support and technical services, including unlimited DNA Advantage subscriptions for Army-owned Cisco assets, as well as implementation, delivery, and management services including High Touch Technical Services (HTTS), High Touch Operations Management (HTOM).
