The Kubernetes Advantage with WWT and AWS
World Wide Technology (WWT) offers a comprehensive suite of services to help customers leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for their infrastructure and application needs. As an AWS Consulting Partner, WWT specializes in deploying and managing AWS EKS clusters. This partnership enables organizations to enhance their infrastructure with scalable, secure, and cost-efficient container orchestration.
How it works
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) is a managed service to run Kubernetes in AWS cloud and on-premises. In the cloud, EKS manages the availability and scalability of control plane nodes for scheduling containers, managing application availability, and storing cluster data. EKS leverages AWS infrastructure's performance, scale, reliability, and integrates with AWS networking and security services. On-premises, EKS offers a consistent Kubernetes solution with integrated tooling and easy deployment to AWS Outposts, virtual machines, or bare metal servers.
You can also run Amazon EKS on AWS Outposts which lets you operate EKS in your data center on fully managed Amazon hardware. WWT has operated an AWS Outposts in its Advanced Technology Center for several years and has in-depth experience with utilizing AWS Outposts. This is a great solution for running AI on the Edge and is a good option for bursting workloads to the cloud.
And you can run Amazon EKS on Amazon EKS Anywhere which lets you run EKS on your own on-premises hardware for the ultimate in flexibility while realizing the benefits of AWS. If you are not quite ready to make the move to the cloud for your K8 workloads, this can be a great option.

EKS Features
Amazon Web Services EKS offers a wide range of features to support various computing needs.
Leverage built-in integrations with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, EBS and more.
Reduce costs with efficient compute resource provisioning and automatic Kubernetes application scaling.
Ensure a more secure Kubernetes environment with security patches automatically applied to your cluster's control plane.
EKS Funding
World Wide Technology (WWT) offers several funding options to assist customers with their cloud migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS) EKS. The primary funding program is the Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), which is designed to support AWS Partners through each phase of the migration journey: Assess, Mobilize, Migrate & Modernize. MAP provides funding incentives to accelerate customer decisions, support migration opportunities, and grow AWS practices. Funding amounts are determined by the total AWS Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) that will land on AWS, with each phase having its own funding available.
AWS offers special funding for customers moving VMware workloads to AWS Cloud Native architectures such as EKS, providing substantial offsets for these migrations. For more detailed information and to explore these funding options, customers are encouraged to contact WWT's AWS experts
WWT's Extensive Services
WWT's services include seamless application migration, development, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring operational excellence through automated testing, patching, and provisioning. EKS is a great platform for AI workloads and WWT offers many services to support your outcomes.
