Microsoft Teams Voice and Interoperability Workshop

4 hours

As organizations look to expand their Microsoft Teams deployments, there are many considerations that must be accounted for. Enabling voice and video will likely require more than just the correct Microsoft O365 licensing. Many of the advanced Teams features rely on integrations from one or more of Microsoft's ecosystem partners. Understanding not only what is required, but how it should be configured and what the employee experience will be is crucial to any Teams Voice deployment. WWT's Microsoft Teams Interoperability Workshop is a 2-4 hour strategic whiteboard session, design overview and demonstration of the many options available for voice and video integration with Microsoft Teams.

What to Expect

During our Microsoft Teams Voice Workshop, WWT experts will explore the many voice and video integration options available. Whether you're looking for alternatives to Microsoft (MS) calling plans or integration with on prem or cloud PBXs, the current market has many options. In this workshop you can expect to:

  • Get hands-on access to MS Teams Voice technology.
  • Gain an understanding of the Direct Routing options for Teams (Ribbon, AudioCodes and Cisco).
  • Learn about Cloud PSTN options from MS and Intrado.
  • Learn about Video interop via CVI providers such as Cisco, Poly and Pexip.
  • Experience the different client-side voice integrations inside Microsoft Teams.

Goals & Objectives

The purpose of this workshop is to demonstrate the integrations and design considerations associated with enabling voice for Microsoft Teams. WWT has built a Microsoft Teams tenant configured with Direct Routing options through Oracle, Audiocodes, Ribbon and Cisco CUBE to support on premise PBXs such as Cisco CUCM. WWT expands on Direct Routing by including Operator Connect providers such as Intrado's Cloud PSTN service. This environment also includes Video endpoint interoperability with Microsoft Teams conferencing enabled via Synergy's Connect WebRTC Gateway and Cloud Video Interop (CVI) from Poly RealConnect, Pexip and Cisco VIMT.

Benefits

Workshop participants will walk away with a clear understanding what it takes to deploy Microsoft Teams Voice and CVI and integrate traditional and cloud voice services from OEMs such as Cisco and Zoom. This workshop will compare the differences between CVI providers (Cisco, Pexip and Poly) and the options for integrating prem and cloud based voice via client side integrations and Direct Routing. Participants may also compare the design considerations of Direct Routing with Ribbon, Oracle, Cisco CUBE and Audiocodes.
