World Wide Technology (WWT) honored to receive a Cisco Partner Summit Global award, recognizing us as the Architectural Excellence Partner of the Year for Enterprise Networks.

This award is, in part, testament to our expertise in SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) – including the new SD-WAN software products Cisco just announced during the Cisco Partner Summit 2018 in Las Vegas. Read about 2019 initiatives here. We're pleased to share that Cisco's new solutions, Cisco SD-WAN Security software and Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers, are now available to our customers for evaluation in our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) where we offer related resources including workshops and training.

Changing business needs are forcing everyone to think differently when designing enterprise architectures. Business-critical applications are no longer centrally located in the data center; they can exist everywhere, including in multiple clouds. As enterprises build increasingly complex and dynamic networks, internet connectivity becomes even more business critical, but this increases risk exposure and potentially impacts user experience.

Cisco's new offerings help address these issues. Cisco SD-WAN Security offers enterprises a next-generation network experience, featuring full-stack security, simplified cloud security and up to 40 percent faster Office 365 performance.

Cisco SD-WAN Security is the only SD-WAN offering to connect network to security, boasting integrated firewall, IPS and URL-filtering. The simplified cloud security uses Cisco Umbrella to offer faster deployment and greater visibility.

Meanwhile, the Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controller brings more flexible deployment models anywhere, including on premises, private or public cloud, as well as other advantages. The always-on software updates with rolling AP upgrades increases reliability and reduces downtime. Finally, increased security from WPA3, Encrypted Traffic Analytics (ETA) and segmentation with SD-Access provide the next generation of WiFi security.

Strong Cisco partnership

WWT and Cisco have enjoyed a long history of working together to drive value for our customers and help enterprises solve complex problems. In addition to winning the global award yesterday, WWT was honored to receive a number of regional and theater awards. In our ATC, we can provide workshops, demonstrations, proofs of concept and sandbox environments for testing which solution best meets your enterprise's needs.  In addition to experiencing firsthand how these products make digitizing your network more flexible and agile, the workshop allows organizations to better understand the considerations for building an SD-WAN architecture that can deliver the digital services needed to survive in the digitization era. We'd love to have you join us in our ATC to see how Cisco's SD-WAN software can fit into your existing structure, and how to easily create a seamless transition as you upgrade your offerings.
