Solution overview
Cisco Meraki's cloud management for Catalyst devices, allows network managers to oversee and control certain Catalyst models via Meraki management mode. This mode utilizes the Meraki Dashboard to manage devices from the cloud. Initial capabilities include cloud monitoring for select Catalyst switches and Wi-Fi 6E access points. Cloud Monitoring for Catalyst offers detailed network visibility, including insights into devices, clients, and traffic, as well as tools for issue diagnosis and troubleshooting. Cloud Management for Catalyst extends network visibility and provides similar insights and troubleshooting capabilities as monitoring does. but introduces automation, zero-trust security, and programmability through APIs and configuration and management through the dashboard.
