We designed this lab to showcase the new Remote Client Plugin and many of the features it enables for the VMware Administrator as it pertains to storage. After a brief introduction to you will dive right in to getting the Remote Client Plugin virtual appliance deployed and configured along with walking you through the many of the integrations the plugin brings.

One of the key features of vDS is the ability to create Distributed Port Groups (DPG), which provide a consistent network configuration across multiple hosts within a data center. In this lab, we will take a deep dive into the world of VMware Distributed Switches, guiding you step-by-step on how to create and configure Distributed Port Groups.

Lab users are provided a dedicated nested VMware environment to use as for an intro to VMware's server virtualization products, ESXi and Virtual Center.

This lab presents the user with a virtual environment with issues that need fixing. The user will troubleshoot a problem logging into vCenter, troubleshoot an issue trying to SSH into an ESXi host and troubleshoot a network issue on an Ubuntu virtual machine.

This a foundational lab for creating a standard VMware vSAN 8.0 datastore. We will walk through the initial host networking configuration. Then we will start the vSAN service for the cluster.
