Deploying IPv6 with ISIS

Organizations have relied on IPv4 for decades, but transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6 is necessary to accommodate the growing number of devices and the increasing demand for IP addresses. Most organizations have exhausted their IPv4 address space. Transitioning to IPv6 allows network engineers to future-proof their networks against the inevitable exhaustion of IPv4 addresses.

SRv6 uSID Lab

SRv6 utilizes the IPv6 data plane natively to deliver Segment Routing capabilities which dramatically simplifies network deployments. By eliminating the need for MPLS label shims and transporting SRv6 SIDs as IPv6 addresses, any IPv6 capable router can forward an SRv6 packet. This means that you can run SRv6 services over any IPv6-enabled infrastructure. This lab will introduce you to the basics of SRv6 with L3VPN over a purely IPv6 transport.

Intro to MPLS Using LDP

MPLS has been used for over two decades. It is the cornerstone of Service Provider Networks and many enterprise, utility and federal networks. MPLS delivers mission-critical applications and services. This lab provides a hands-on lab environment that will familiarize the user with the primary routing configuration of MPLS (Multi-protocol Label Switching) with LDP (Label Distribution Protocol) running on Cisco routers.

SR-MPLS With Flex-Algo Lab

Service providers and other large organizations rely on MPLS on multiple platforms to deliver mission-critical applications and services. Segment Routing is the next-generation technology that replaces MPLS, and here we look at SR-MPLS along with an advanced feature called Flexible Algorithm (Flex-Algo). Segment Routing with Flex-Algo enables the router to assign a user-defined algorithm to the IGP that is implemented dynamically and on-demand.

Cisco MPLS

Cisco Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) refers to solutions that utilize and support MPLS such as the ASR 900, ASR 9000, NCS 4200, NCS 5000 and NCS 5500 families of products. Cisco MPLS enables Enterprises and Service Providers to build next-generation intelligent networks that deliver a wide variety of advanced, value-added services including Layer 3 VPNs, Layer 2 VPNs, Traffic Engineering and QoS over a single infrastructure. Service Providers can continuing to provide existing data and voice services utilizing Layer 2 VPNs over an MPLS infrastructure while introducing new services and architectures.
